Mission

The mission of the Granger Parks and Recreation Department to create recreational opportunities for growth and enhancement by developing services. Our programs promote citizen involvement and a strong sense of community while striving to increase the social, cultural, and physical well-being of residents & visitors.

Description

Our Parks and Rec department oversees many of the activities held at our parks and Community Center.  

• The City of Granger is pleased to offer plenty of green space for residents and visitors
• The Community Center is available for non-profits to hold meetings
• The shelter house at Centennial Park is available for rent

Goals

• Provide clean and safe parks, green spaces, and recreational facilities
• Provide efficient services regardless of income, background, & ability
• Effectively plan for the future needs of Granger residents
• Continually strive to improve existing facilities while seeking opportunities for future development
• To improve the quality of life for all citizens
