Parks & Recreation FAQ

Cancellations:

There will be no Parks and Recreation programs when school is dismissed early or canceled due to the weather. This applies to both youth and adult activities. Class participants will not be called individually when these cancellations occur. Updates will be posted on the city website as well as on our Facebook page.

Evening Events:

Cancellation decisions are made 1-2 hours before activities are set to begin to accommodate Iowa's quickly changing weather conditions. Updates will be posted on the city website as well as on our Facebook page.

Player Request Policy:

No player requests will be granted to be on the same team unless the parents are volunteering to coach together. Please indicate this during registration.

Photo Policy:

Photos taken of participants and guests in programs, activities, special events, and festivals may be used in promotional materials, press releases, on the city website, and on social media.

Refund Policy:

The Granger Parks and Recreation programs are non-refundable. We offer credits to accounts if the Granger Parks and Recreation Department has to cancel a program or if it is due to a medical reason that you or your child cannot participate. Credits will not be offered if you or your child change your mind.
